We are very excited to be pioneering with Melbourne City Ballet Theatre in the first school based outreach at Indialantic Elementary School in developing our school-based outreach program.

About the event
We support the MCBT vision to develop programs that reach school-based communities through performances and workshops. As you may know Misty Copeland, one of the most famous dancers in the world, learned of ballet at the age of 13 through an after school program.
We want to reach as many children as possible and teach them the magic of dance. They will learn about the world of dance as performers and as audience members.
We have developed a school based curriculum with a short performance school wide and then the senior dancers in the MCBT company will teach workshops throughout the day at the students various camps including dance based Physical Education Class, Art related to dance and perhaps Media and music with a dance themed lesson for that day or week.
