Intermediate Summer Intensives 2023

Intermediate Summer Intensives are offered for ages 10-13 on:
June 5th through 10th (Mon-Sat) &
June 12th through 17th (Mon-Sat)
Both sessions are taking place at at WDA Viera (7640 N Wickham Rd).
Although the schedule is the same for each week, each session will have different material, variations, exercises etc.
Schedule of classes (Mon-Sat):
Monday - Friday
11:00 - 11:30am Stretching/Conditioning
11:30 - 1:15pm Ballet Class
1:15 - 1:45pm Pointe Class
1:45 - 2:15pm Lunch Break
2:15 - 3:15pm Variation Class
3:15-4:15pm Contemporary Class
9:30 - 11:30pm Ballet Class
11:30 - 12:00pm Lunch Break
12:00 - 1:00pm Variation Class
1:00-2:00pm Acting Class
$350 (one week),
$700 (two weeks)
The deposit is $200.* (The deposit amount is listed per session, the deposit is due per each session if attending multiple sessions).
Partial participation (drop-ins) is allowed but not recommended. Full participation helps the dancer to receive a complete training program for major improvement. For partial participation quote, please, email: email@example.com.
The registration fee for new students is $35. The registration fee for the intensive sessions is waived for all current students.
How do I register?
Please create an account through our Parent Portal, you will be able to select the necessary session/s by clicking on "Register for Classes", then select "Summer Intensive" in the header. Pick the session/s, click "Submit" and "Finalize the Registration" to confirm the reservation of your spot. You will be able to sign the Disclaimers and to prepay the deposit and/or the registration fee.
All fees must be paid in full before the first day of the Intensive through our Portal.
Artem Yachmennikov is a graduate of the Vaganova Ballet Academy. He was the first soloist with the world famous Bolshoi Theater in Moscow; a soloist at The Mariinsky Theater (Kirov) in St.Petersburg; and a principal dancer at the Dutch National Ballet, which is one of the most prestigious European theaters. He was also a principal dancer at San Francisco Ballet, one of the largest and long lived professional ballet companies in the United States. He performed on the most prestigious ballet stages in the world such as Covent Garden in London, Grand Opera in Paris, Metropolitan Opera in New-York, The London Coliseum Theater, and Champs-Elysees Theater in Paris. Mr. Yachnmennikoff enjoyed the honor of receiving an invitation from Her Royal Majesty Queen Beatrix of Netherlands to attend an official ceremony recognizing his artistic accomplishments. Mr. Artem is also the Artistic Director of Melbourne City Ballet Theatre and the Artistic Director of Classical Arts Entertainment's We Dance Program that offers performance opportunities of the highest level to the ballet dancers of all ages of the East Coast during the State Ballet Theatre of Ukraine tour across the US. MCBT and CAE have successfully produced such shows, as the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake and Cinderella.
Jakki Kenney,Jakki began dance at the age of three at Raskin Dance Studio. She has been in a movie with Tom Selleck called Kids for Character and a music video with Aaron Carter. She has trained in all genres of dance. After high school she moved to NYC and trained at Broadway Dance Center under Wes Veldink. She then returned to central Florida where she would begin teaching and choreographing. She helped run her home dance school and their company/competition team, Raskin Dance Studio for five years before moving to Melbourne. During that time she received many choreography awards and helping coach kids. She has a students in Ailey II and Julliard. She is now our main contemporary teacher at We Dance, a guest teacher/choreographer in central Florida, and adjudicator with Star Dance Alliance.
